Welcome to Acorn Home Care LLC. We provide caregivers for those in need, including seniors, infirm persons and any others who require home care. At Acorn Home Care LLC, it is our goal to provide family members and friends with peace of mind in the knowledge that when you choose us, we take very seriously our duty to guard your loved ones’ safety and keep them secure and happy in their homes. Connecticut Public Act 17-53 requires us to tell you:  Acorn is the employer of the caregiver if it pays the caregiver directly.  Client may be considered an employer under law if Client pays the caregiver directly and, if that is the case, the client may be held responsible for the payment of federal and state taxes, Social Security, overtime and minimum wage, unemployment, workers' compensation insurance payments and any other applicable payment required under state or federal law.  Client should consult a tax professional if Client is uncertain about Client's responsibility for payment of such taxes and payments.
